"REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL"

WHAT DID JESUS MEAN WHEN HE SAID, “REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL” ?
In Mark 1:15, we read...
"At sinasabi, Naganap na ang panahon, at malapit na ang kaharian ng Dios: kayo'y mangagsisi, at magsisampalataya sa evangelio." (Tagalog Ang Biblia)
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." (King James Version)
"The time is accomplished and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel." (Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible)
When Jesus said, “The time is fulfilled,” He was indicating that a significant moment in history had arrived. The Old Testament prophecy that the Messiah (Savior) would come to save the people had now arrived – Jesus Christ was the fulfillment of that prophecy.
The phrase “the kingdom of God is at hand” signifies that the long-awaited “Kingdom of God” that the Jewish people had been waiting to arrive was now accessible being that Jesus was on the scene. Jesus was inviting everyone to enter into a ‘relationship with God Himself’ (not into a relationship with a church religion). That beautiful invitation to enter into a relationship with God Himself is still open to YOU today.! –
Think about it! ...
Is your present relationship exercising FAITH and TRUST in the Person of Jesus Christ Himself for salvation from your sins and Hell, or are you exercising FAITH and TRUST in the religious works you are doing through a church trying to earn sin indulgences for Purgatory in hopes you can gain entrance into Heaven after you die? -- If you are trusting in Purgatory, I have some bad news for you…Purgatory doesn’t even exist! –
Jesus never once mentions Purgatory in the New Testament of the Bible. He mentions only Heaven (“narrow way”) and Hell (“broad way”) – (See Matthew 7:13-14).
In Romans 3:23, the Bible tells us that we have all sinned against God! ...

"For all have sinned and do need the glory of God." (Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible)
Ever told a lie? – Here in Revelation 21:8 is what Jesus says is going to happen to all liars!
“Ang kanilang bahagi ay sa dagatdagatang nagniningas sa apoy at asupre.” (Tagalog Ang Biblia)
"And all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone." (King James Version)
"And all liars, they shall have their portion in the pool burning with fire and brimstone." (Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible)
So, how can YOU be saved from Hell? In Proverbs 14:12, we read… “May daan na tila matuwid sa isang tao, nguni't ang dulo niyaon ay mga daan ng kamatayan.” (The way that “seems right” is to do religious works through a church to earn sin indulgences for your soul…but that is the wrong way! —Jesus gives us the right way to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven in Mark 1:15. Jesus said “repent and believe the gospel” (kayo'y mangagsisi, at magsisampalataya sa evangelio). – What did He mean? – The Greek word that Jesus uses for “repent” here means “think differently, i.e. change your mind.” – Jesus is saying…”You have believed that it is necessary to do religious works to enter into Heaven… now think differently …BELIEVE the Gospel!”
5 BELIEVE THE GOSPEL means you believe… “Ngayo'y ipinatatalastas ko sa inyo, mga kapatid, ang evangelio na sa inyo'y aking ipinangaral, na inyo namang tinanggap, na siya naman ninyong pinananatilihan, Sa pamamagitan naman nito'y ligtas kayo kung matiyaga ninyong iingatan ang salitang ipinangaral ko sa inyo, maliban na kung kayo'y nagsipanampalataya nang walang kabuluhan. Sapagka't ibinigay ko sa inyo una sa lahat, ang akin namang tinanggap: na si Cristo ay namatay dahil sa ating mga kasalanan, ayon sa mga kasulatan, At siya'y inilibing; at siya'y muling binuhay nang ikatlong araw ayon sa mga kasulatan.” (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Tagalog Ang Biblia) – “Believe the Gospel” means that you no longer believe that you have to perform ‘religious works through a church to earn sin indulgences for a non-existent Purgatory!’ 6 It means you truly believe that Jesus Christ has already done everything necessary to save you from your sins and Hell … so why not get sincere with God right now and pray to Him. I have inserted below a sample prayer of “Repentance and Belief”. -- But please know that your just reading the prayer CAN NOT SAVE YOUR SOUL! – Ony if you BELIEVE THE TRUTHS THAT I’VE SHARED WITH YOU IN THIS GOSPEL TRACT IN YOUR HEART while you pray the prayer can your soul be saved! Lord Jesus, I am a sinner! – Please forgive me for all my past sins. – I believe that you shed your blood on the Cross to cleanse me of ALL my sins and to save my soul from Hell forever. – Please send your Holy Spirit into my life right now and help me to live the rest of my life for you. - I truly believe I am now forgiven for my sins and saved from Hell. …Thank you, Lord Jesus!
